2024 four-star prospect, OL Eddy Pierre-Louis commits to Oklahoma

Eddy Pierre-Louis is a four-star prospect from Tampa Catholic who will be taking his talents to the University of Oklahoma as he commits to the Sooners today. The Sooners have had a long tradition of developing quality offensive linemen for the NFL level. Pierre-Louis is poised to be one of the next in that line. Pierre-Louis has the makings to break the mold for the Sooners. He was a multi-sport athlete at Tampa Catholic High School, participating in basketball and track and field, where he did throwing events as well as sprints. He recently ran the 100M event at 12.97 seconds weighing in at 315 pounds.

This commitment is poised to be huge for the Sooners who bring in a prospect with elite measurables, 6'3" and 335 currently. In high school, he lined up as guard and tackle and showed a nastiness that colleges covet for their offensive line. He has violent hands and uses them well to keep defenders off balance. Often leaving the defensive players on the ground. He uses his athletic ability as well when he pulls to help spring the running back.

With his ability, Pierre-Louis could contend as a true freshman and fortify the interior of the Sooners offensive line. With junior, Tyler Guyton opting out of the bowl game as well as a veteran offensive line heading graduation and losing Nate Anderson and Marcus Hicks to the transfer portal, the opportunity is there for an immediate impact. He's got the build and versatility to play anywhere on the line, however, he seems like a more natural guard at the college level.

The Sooners landed a big-time prospect in Pierre-Louis. He's athletic and has a physicality and nastiness in his play style that will serve him as well as the team. He shows quickness in his first step off the line as well as a solid ability to finish blocks strong as well as shed defenders and move to the second level. With the Sooners heading to the SEC in 2024 having quality along the offensive line will be vital.
