Alabama landed their second commit of the weekend on Sunday when four-star linebacker Jaedon Harmon pledged to the Crimson Tide. Harmon becomes the fourth linebacker and third player out of Georgia to commit to Kalen DeBoer’s team.
Who is Jaedon Harmon?
Harmon is a 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker out of Rome High School in Rome, Ga. Harmon is ranked as the No. 23 linebacker in the 2025 class and the No. 177-ranked overall prospect according to the 247 composite.
Harmon had a total of 36 offers and chose the Tide over Texas, Ohio State, Clemson and others.
Scouting Jaedon Harmon
Harmon accounted for 80 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 1 interception, 3 pass breakups and 5 quarterback hurries during his junior campaign at Rome High School. He was also named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution All-State Team.
What Harmon's Commitment Means for Alabama
Harmon will fit in well with defensive coordinator Kane Womack's system which requires his linebackers to be athletic, fast and versatile. Harmon is very instinctive when it comes to defending the run and has all the tools to better develop as a coverage defender in Womack's "Swarm" defense. While Alabama currently has a full stable of young linebackers on the roster, expect Harmon to be an early contributor on both defense and special teams and possibly earn a starting role by year two.
Harmon becomes Alabama's 10th overall commit and fourth linebacker to join the class along with Darrell Johnson, Abduall Sanders Jr. and Luke Metz. Harmon's commitment moves Alabama to No. 7 in the 247 Composite 2025 Team Recruiting Rankings.
