The Auburn Tigers made a splash to their 2026 recruiting class. According to On3, the Tigers landed 6-foot-6, 235-pound EDGE. Hezekiah "Hezi" Harris. Harris chose the Tigers over powerhouse schools LSU, Clemson and Tennessee.
Harris on the Tigers Coaching Staff
Harris had a lot to say about coach Hugh Freeze and his staff heading into the season.
"Auburn has great coaches. I like defensive ends coach Josh Aldridge a lot and I have a great relationship with coach Freeze," Harris said. "Coach Freeze and staff made me a priority as soon as I got to Auburn. They've recruited me harder than any school. Coach Freeze has the program going in the right direction. It is a family environment there and I feel at home. The development under the coaches stood out to me also. Then the atmosphere is crazy on game day. Auburn has great fans."
Harris continued with some praise for Freeze and the way he recruits players.
"Coach Freeze is doing a great job recruiting players and getting Auburn back to the top," Harris said. "He is a good coach who knows what he is talking about, and he is recruiting the players to help Auburn win. Coach Freeze is a smart coach, he is fun to be around, he is easy to talk to and he is doing a great job."
Harris said he andAldridge have made a connection on the field.
"Getting to work with coach Aldridge in camp was great," Harris said. "I have really gotten to know him, and we have a really tight connection. He has been recruiting me since I was a freshman and we just got to know each other. He is a cool guy that can coach, and he is good at developing players. I am excited to learn more from him."

Harris joins a class that already includes four other four-star recruits in their 2026 class. He joins linebacker Shadarius Toodle, linebacker LaMichael Garrett, wide receiver Denairius Gray and offensive lineman Kail Ellis.
