Coach Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide have secured a significant win on the recruiting trail with the commitment of five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham from Choctaw County, Miss.

Cunningham ranked as the No. 3 wide receiver and No. 22 overall player in the Class of 2025. He is the 21st commitment for Alabama and the highest-rated recruit for DeBoer this cycle. His addition bolsters an already impressive recruiting class, currently ranked No. 2 in the nation.

Who is Caleb Cunningham?

Cunningham, a five-star wide receiver from Ackerman, Miss., is not just a football player. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 190 pounds, he is a versatile athlete with immense potential and a bright future.

Cunningham is a multisport athlete at Choctaw County High School, excelling in football, basketball and track and field.

This past season, Cunningham caught 48 balls for 1,138 yards and 14 touchdowns, breaking school records for receptions and receiving yards. Cunningham is a wide receiver that plays tough and is nearly unstoppable in the red zone. While he has a big frame and isn't afraid to run through would-be tacklers, Cunningham also possesses top-tier speed. This makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing

defenses.

What This Means

Cunningham becomes the second wide receiver to commit to Alabama and DeBoer this recruiting cycle, joining three-star prospect Lotzeir Brooks. While Cunningham's commitment fills a much-needed spot in the Alabama offense, it also shows that DeBoer can recruit at a high level. Cunningham becomes the third five-star to commit to the Tide, joining quarterback Keelon Russell and cornerback Dijon Lee.

With DeBoer implementing an offense in Tuscaloosa that relies heavily on wide receiver production, Cunningham is expected to be a key contributor from Day One. That's due to his unique skill set and size. It will be fascinating to see how dynamic this offense becomes when Cunningham joins Alabama's other five-star wide receivers, such as Ryan Williams, next fall.
