As the countdown clock keeps ticking toward the release of EA Sports College Football 25, fans of the Boise State Broncos got to see what their team will be wearing in the game and this upcoming fall on the field.

Details on New Uniform

Boise State partnered with Nike to create its new uniforms, which come in three colors: Orange, Blue and White.

In addition, Boise State unveiled the design of the brand-new uniform, and the Broncos also announced the schedule for when the team will wear each of the new uniforms.

Embracing Tradition in New Uniforms

One of the key components of every college football program is the element of tradition that binds generations of the program around a common identity.

Boise State Associate Director of Athletic Equipment Operations for Football Dale Holste said the new uniforms embrace the tradition of the Broncos program.

"We wanted to emphasize the traditional look established in our previous design, maintaining the all-blue look and the 'Dark Mode' concept," Holste said. "We also have discussed the opportunity to use some different combinations, including the retro throwback combination of blue helmets, orange jerseys and blue pants that were worn when Dirk Koetter was our head coach."

It is fitting that Koetter, who served as the program's coach from 1998-2000 and compiled a record of 20-16 before taking the Arizona State Job in 2001, is back in Boise, Idaho, not as the coach but as the offensive coordinator for Spencer Danielson as these new uniforms are introduced for the program. Prior to returning to Boise State, Koetter had spent time with three different teams in the NFL serving as an offensive coordinator.

Fans of the Broncos will not have to wait long as they can start playing College Football 25 when it is released next week. However, to see them on the field, they will have to wait till Aug. 31, when the Broncos travel to Statesboro, Ga., to take on the Georgia Southern Eagles.

The Broncos then travel to Eugene, Ore. the following week on Sept. 7 to face the Oregon Ducks before fans can see the new uniforms at home on Sept. 21 against the Portland State Vikings.
