Caullin Lacy is the number one wide receiver in the On3 portal rankings and has Committed to the Louisville Cardinals. He is one of only twenty-three FBS wide receivers that reached the 1,000 receiving yards mark in 2023. ESPN Stats here.

Coming out of Faith Academy in Mobile, Alabama in 2020 Lacy was a three-star athlete and committed to the only (at the time) FBS team that offered. He chose South Alabama over Jacksonville State and Mississippi Valley State.

Until the 2023 season, Caullin Lacy was always the other choice. In 2021 The Jags had Jaylen Tolbert who got drafted by the Cowboys and in 2022 he was the second option behind Jaylen Wayne who has spent time with the Bills and Browns.

When he was finally given the chance to be "The Guy" he hauled in 91 receptions, 1,316 yards (6th in the nation), and 7 receiving touchdowns.

With Jamari Thrash going to the NFL draft this opens up the number one wideout for anyone to take. Caullin Lacy, Ja'Corey Brooks, Jimmy Calloway, and Kevin Coleman will all fight throughout spring and summer to determine who the incoming transfer Tyler Shough likes the best.
