College Football Dawgs (CFD), a premier national sports media outlet, is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with the Maxwell Football Club (MFC), the oldest organization of its kind in America.
Known for its prestigious college football awards, such as the Bednarik Award and the Maxwell Award given to the best all-around player, the MFC has been a cornerstone of college football excellence for more than 89 years. This collaboration aims to enhance the visibility of the MFC through comprehensive marketing efforts and engaging content creation.
The Partnership
"We are beyond honored to collaborate with the Maxwell Football Club, an esteemed organization with such a storied legacy in football," said College Football Dawgs CEO Hunter Dworsky.
"The Maxwell Football Club and the Maxwell Award are just as important and honorable as any other organization and award, including the Heisman Trophy Trust and the Heisman Trophy. This partnership allows us to contribute to their mission of recognizing excellence and fostering community engagement within the football community."
College Football Dawgs COO Collin Sutrick echoed Dworsky's excitement about the partnership.
"By combining our media capabilities with the Maxwell Football Club's dedication to football and community service, we aim to amplify their impact and reach a broader audience," he said. "We look forward to creating compelling content that showcases the club's initiatives and values."
Troy Ahmann, College Football Dawg's Chief Marketing Officer, further explained the value of this partnership:
"The Maxwell Football Club is a treasure trove of searchable content waiting for someone to find it. We are excited to lead the organization into the future. Our marketing team looks forward to the opportunity to help the Maxwell Football Club improve brand recognition and open new avenues to the next generation of college football fans while working towards monetization."
Maxwell Football Club Executive Director Mark Wolpert said partnering with College Football Dawgs will enable the organization to broaden its audience nationally.
"We are excited to partner with College Football Dawgs entering the 2024 season. To have the chance to build the Maxwell brand nationally with a group of young, energetic professionals will drive excitement for our college awards while giving College Football Dawgs the unique opportunity to partner with one of the most established football awards organizations in the country," Wolpert said. "We look forward to a great future together, promoting the great game of college football."
"I want to thank Mark Wolpert for entrusting our staff in this partnership, and we cannot wait to start this journey with his team," Dworsky said. "Together, we aim to inspire the next generation of football enthusiasts and celebrate the achievements of student-athletes across the country."
This partnership marks a significant step in fostering community engagement and recognizing excellence in the world of college football. Both organizations look forward to a fruitful collaboration that will benefit student-athletes and football fans nationwide.
From its inception, the MFC held weekly informal meetings with football officials, coaches and the public to discuss recent games. During these meetings, local high school and college players were honored, making it the first organization to celebrate football talent from the beginner to the professional level.
In 1937, the club awarded its first namesake trophy, and in 1959, following Bell's death, it introduced the Professional Player of the Year Award, known as the Bert Bell Trophy. The MFC continues to recognize and honor outstanding football players, promoting the sport and its values.
Specifics about content and initiatives stemming from this partnership, including podcast shows, graphics, syndication, etc., will be announced prior to the start of the 2024 college football season.

About the Maxwell Football Club
The MFC, established in 1935, was created to promote safety in American football. Named after Robert W. “Tiny” Maxwell, a legendary college player, official and sports columnist, the club was founded by Bert Bell, then-owner of the Philadelphia Eagles and later commissioner of the NFL, along with Edwin Pollock.
The club’s primary mission was to recognize talented players early in their careers, a tradition it has upheld for more than three-quarters of a century. Many of its award winners have gone on to achieve legendary status in professional football.
