Dawg Preview: Auburn vs #13 Old Miss

The Hugh Freeze era is in 'full swing' on the plains, so far it's pretty much what we expected. The Tigers sit at 3-3 and 0-3 in SEC play, with their 3 losses, they played well with the exception of the LSU game. The next half of their schedule is much more manageable with games that they could win such as Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and New Mexico State. If all goes according to plan, Auburn should win those games and that would put them at 7 wins on the season with a toss-up game against Ole Miss. Finally, they have the Iron Bowl against Alabama at the end of the year.

What's at stake?

In my opinion, this game for Auburn is a make-or-break for the season. This is a winnable game for Auburn. The Tigers have to play a mistake-free game with good QB play, if they don't then Ole Miss has the talent to make them pay and take advantage of mistakes.

Key Players: Auburn

QB Position - either Robby Ashford or Peyton Thorne must play well

Offensive Line - must play a great game

Key Players Ole Miss:

QB Position - Jaxson Dart

RB Position - Quinshon Judkins

Defensive Line - All

Prediction:

This game has the potential to be the game of the weekend because there is a lot at stake for Auburn. Hugh Freeze gets to take on his former team in Ole Miss. The Rebels are a solid team, Lane Kiffin, has built a solid foundation from the transfer portal and recurting. However I'm not a Lane Kiffin fan I think he is arrogant, personally, I'm glad Auburn didn't hire him. Now back to the game, this will be a good one. Jordan-Hare will be rocking Saturday night. I believe that will give Auburn a slight advantage.
