Duke (5-0, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) and Georgia Tech (3-2, 1-1 ACC) will face off at 8 p.m. EST on Oct. 5 in Atlanta, Ga. The Duke Blue Devils are coming into Bobby Dowd Stadium undefeated. The Yellow Jackets, who come into this game after losing to No. 22. Louisville 31-19 in Louisville, Ky., look to make a stand and give Duke its first loss. Currently, Duke is tied for second with No. 8 Miami and No. 22 Louisville in the ACC behind No. 15 Clemson, who is 3-1 overall, 2-0 in ACC play. Some may consider this Duke's first big test of the college football season. The Blue Devils come off a one-point win over the North Carolina Tar Heels.
What's at Stake?
Duke is having one of its best starts to the season since 2014, when it finished 9-4 and started the season 8-1. Both quarterbacks Maalik Murphy and Haynes King have thrown for more than 1,200 yards this season. They also both have a completion percentage above 60 percent as well. In Georgia Tech's two losses, it only lost by 3 points to Syracuse on the road and 12 points on the road at Louisville, who was ranked No. 19 in the country at the time. Beating the Blue Devils at home would give the Yellow Jackets some momentum before going on the road next week and facing North Carolina.
