Four-star running back Anthony "Turbo" Rogers announced his decision to sign with No. 6 Ohio State (10-2, 6-2 Big Ten Conference). The 5-foot-8, 190-pound RB decommitted from No. 11 Alabama (9-3, 5-3 Southeastern Conference) on Nov. 17, not long after his official visit to Columbus, Ohio.
Rogers is Rivals' second-ranked all-purpose back in the 2025 class. With his signing, On3 now rates the Ohio State 2025 recruiting class No. 1 in the B1G and No. 4 in the nation, behind only No. 2 Texas (11-1, 7-1 SEC), Alabama and No. 5 Georgia (10-2, 6-2).
Anthony Rogers' High School Career
The Montgomery, Ala. native spent his junior season at the powerhouse football factory, IMG Academy. He saw limited playing time that year, gaining 316 rushing yards on 41 carries. He added 5 touchdowns in his nine games played
He found himself back in his home state for his senior season, playing for Carver High School. He developed his game, beginning to show promise as a receiving target. He caught two TDs in a single game against Central-Phenix High School. In that same game, he had a kickoff return for a score that was called back for holding. Despite the penalty, he showed incredible burst and vision on the play, revealing that he will likely compete for a spot returning kicks at Ohio State.
As a pure RB, he shows tremendous traits. Most notably, he has top-tier contact balance, with his frame and size allowing him to maintain leverage, making it tough for opponents to knock him off-track. He also has excellent vision for such a young player. Rogers will have time to develop at Ohio State, but his intangibles are already there.
Ohio State's Talented RB Room
RB coach Carlos Locklyn has done a fantastic job recruiting in his first year with the Buckeyes. Rogers is the third RB in the 2025 class for Ohio State. He joins four-star Bo Jackson and three-star Isaiah West. Former four-star James Peoples is also on the roster now and showed promise in his limited carries this year, rushing for 191 yards and 2 TDs. Despite the number of players at the position, they all could see playing time. Fans watched the Buckeyes balance two future NFL RBs this season with TreyVeon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. In head coach Ryan Day's talent-laden offense, Rogers' versatility could help him find snaps often and early in his career.
