College football fans and gamers are eagerly awaiting the release of EA Sports' College Football 25, scheduled to be made available on July 19. In the run-up to the release, EA is gradually trickling out enticing tidbits about the game, such as rankings of teams, dynasty mode features and information about players whose images and likenesses will be prominent in the game.

One of those players is the USC Trojans' sensational All-American wide receiver, Zachariah Branch, who will appear on the game's menu screen.

EA's 'Most Fun' Players

College Football Network has ranked the top 10 most fun players in the highly-anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 video game, and it's nice to see players in positions other than quarterback getting some love at the top of the list, including wide receivers, running backs and defensive backs:

  1. Zachariah Branch, WR, USC

  2. Travis Hunter, DB/WR, Colorado

  3. Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State

  4. Carson Beck, QB, Georgia

  5. Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

  6. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

  7. Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

  8. Harold Perkins Jr., LB, LSU

  9. Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

  10. Ismail Mahdi, RB, Texas State

While not all will agree with this list, all of the named athletes are exciting, skilled playmakers. Good cases can be made for players left off the list like Missouri's Luther Burden III, widely regarded as the nation's top collegiate wideout, and Shedeur Sanders, whose NIL deal is tops—valued at $4.7 million. Nevertheless, the list compiled by CFN is a worthy list of some of the creme of the crop in college football.

Electrifying Zachariah Branch

CFN is on the money in placing Branch at the top of its list. He was a five-star recruit, rated as the nation's best receiver in the 2023 recruiting cycle. As a lightning-fast kickoff and punt returner, Branch was named first-team All-American in his debut season. He has the pedigree, too. His uncle is Pro Football Hall of Famer Cliff Branch—the legendary Oakland Raiders wideout. On July 1, Branch was named to Walter Camp Football Foundation's preseason All-American team. Watching Branch play is often like watching a video game. Hence, he is a perfect fit for EA Sports College Football 25.
