Iowa State Makes History

Iowa State has played football for 127 years, and 2024 marked the first time in program history that the Cyclones won 10 games in a season. With this milestone season, Matt Campbell has cemented himself as the best coach in Cyclone's history.

Kansas State Mistakes

In the four losses for K-State mistakes mounted in each game starting with a minus-8 turnover margin. Uncharacteristic issues in the special teams with blunders in the snapping game, blocked kicks and giving up long returns to the opposition. This game against Iowa State came down to who would make mistakes and Kansas State made those mistakes.

What Is Next?

With No. 19 BYU (10-2, 7-2) beating Houston (4-8, 3-6) 30-18 in Provo, Utah, which sent Iowa State to the Big 12 Championship game to face No. 16 Arizona State (10-2, 7-2) in Arlington, Texas. If the Cyclones can win that game they will punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff and first conference title since 1912.

Kansas State will wait to see where they are going for their bowl game. If the Wildcats can keep their young core of players in the offseason they will find themselves in the thick of the Big 12 Championship hunt in 2025.
