The New York Jets have been one of the more active teams this offseason and that remained true on Friday as they acquired Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Haason Reddick.
Philadelphia will receive a 2026 third-round pick in return that could turn into a second-rounder if playing time conditions are met.
Reddick, a former first-round pick in 2017, revitalized his career after signing with the Eagles in 2022 and helped lead Philadelphia to a Super Bowl appearance in his first season there.
During his two seasons in Philadelphia, Reddick was a Pro Bowler in each season and was named a Second-Team All-Pro in 2022.
Reddick will now land with the Jets as contract negotiations with the Eagles stalled out, giving New York a suitable replacement for Bryce Huff who ironically signed with Philadelphia a few weeks prior.
The move marks another big-time addition made by Jets general manager Joe Douglas who also acquired offensive lineman Tyron Smith and wide receiver Mike Williams in the days prior.
Reddick, a former Cardinal first-round pick in 2017 has 58 total sacks in his career to go along with 410 total tackles.
