After a successful run as the head coach for Oregon State, Jonathan Smith has accepted the job at Michigan State, where he replaces the dismissed Mel Tucker, who was let go early into the 2023 season.

Smith was a quarterback for the Beavers and began his career there as a grad assistant.

After a few losing campaigns, Smith is 18-7 in the last two years as the Beavers head coach and is credited with the revival of former Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei, who threw for 20 touchdowns to just 8 interceptions.

College Football Dawgs will update the story as details continue to pour in about Smith's exit from OSU to MSU.
