The Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian keep adding to their offense in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The Longhorns landed 6-foot-2, 180-pound wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, who chose Texas over the LSU Tigers, the Miami Hurricanes and the Tennessee Volunteers. ESPN rates Ffrench the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 17 overall prospect in the nation. Longhorns wide receivers coach Chris Jackson was primarily responsible for Ffrench's recruitment.

Ffrench in High School

Ffrench attends Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Fla. Throughout his high school career, he has shown abundant quickness and burst right off the line of scrimmage. He easily beats defenders one-on-one and regularly gains chunks of yardage after the catch. He has been a favorite quarterback target during his three years of play at the prep level.

247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins offered the following breakdown of Ffrench: "Well-rounded receiver with the traits and ball skills to work all three levels and emerge as a trusted option in any style of passing attack. Owns good size and somehow plays bigger than he measures as he's rarely disturbed by press and frequently the one in control at the catch point. Blessed with larger hands that are almost automatic when he's open, although he has fallen victim to a few concentration drops over the years."

In a recent interview concerning his commitment, Ffrench was very complimentary of Sarkisian, Jackson and other members of the Longhorns coaching staff: "Really just the family feeling," Ffrench said. "They jumped on me quick, and they stayed on us. It feels like an open family there. Coach Chris Jackson, and Coach Sark... [T]hey all play a big part. Coach Perry, the recruiting director, all of them. They're all part of it."

Longhorns 2025 Recruiting Class

Ffrench joins an already crowded recruiting class that the Longhorns have put together for the 2025 cycle. According to 247Sports, the Longhorns 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 7 in the nation and has 19 total commits.

The recruiting class contains three five-star pledges, including Ffrench, seven four-stars and nine three-stars.
