Louisville Flips Ole Miss Commit Tyler Baron


Tyler Baron, a four-star commit out of high school, for the University of Tennessee, entered the transfer portal on December 8th, 2023. On December 15th he committed to the Ole Miss Rebels. To the surprise of many Tyler, he then decided on January 16th, 2024, to flip that commitment to the Louisville Cardinals. According to 247sports.com, he is the 14th overall recruit in the transfer portal.



Time at Tennessee - Tyler Baron



In the four years spent in Knoxville, Tyler Baron had amassed 102 tackles with 13.5 sacks and a forced fumble. The six sacks from this season were a career-high for him. He was a key player on the defensive line at Tennessee that was 19th in the country only giving up 113.7 rush yards per game. There is one year of college eligibility left.


This is a great pickup for Louisville to help them make a push at winning the ACC next season.
