Louisville, Virginia Look for Big ACC Victory

In an important Atlantic Coast Conference clash, Louisville (3-2, 1-1) and Virginia (4-1, 2-0) will meet at 3:30 p.m. EST on Oct. 12 in Charlottesville, Va.


The Cardinals head into Scott Stadium riding a two-game losing streak, falling 31-24 to No. 11 Notre Dame (4-1) in Week 5 and 34-27 to No. 25 SMU (5-1, 2-0) in Week 6. Conversely, the Cavaliers are on a two-game win streak with victories over Coastal Carolina (4-1, 1-0 Sun Belt Conference) and Boston College (4-2, 1-1).



The Cardinals and Cavaliers both boast impressive defenses. In five games, Louisville has allowed only 98 points, and Virginia has kept its opponents to a total of 108 points.


Louisville comes into this game tied for seventh place in the ACC, while Virginia is tied for second place in the conference. Virginia is the only undefeated team in the ACC that is not ranked.

With a win, Louisville will remain in the top half of the ACC standings. If the Cavaliers prevail, they will remain undefeated in the conference.

Brown has carried the ball 39 times for 362 yards, impressively averaging 9.3 yards per carry. He has scored 1 TD this season.


Ja'Corey Brooks, WR

Brooks, who transferred from Alabama, has reeled in 25 passes for 489 yards and 6 TDs. An explosive playmaker, he is averaging 19.6 yards per reception.
