No. 15 Alabama (6-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) beat No. 21 Missouri (6-2, 2-2 SEC) 34-0 on homecoming on Oct. 26 at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The Crimson Tide rebounded after a tough 24-17 loss at No. 7 Tennessee (6-1, 3-1 SEC) on Oct. 19.

In a game that began as a defensive battle, Alabama slowly pulled away as Missouri struggled offensively, especially after quarterback Brady Cook exited the game with an injury. The Tide's offensive attack and stout defense paved the way for a convincing win.

Game Summary

The first quarter saw little offense, with Alabama scoring first on a 47-yard field goal by kicker Graham Nicholson. Missouri's offense took a hit in the second quarter when Cook left. Alabama then extended its lead with another field goal and a 3-yard touchdown run from running back Jam Miller just before halftime.

Missouri's offensive struggles continued in the second half. Backup quarterback Drew Pyne threw 2 interceptions on the Tigers' first 2 drives of the third quarter.

Alabama capitalized and led 27-0 heading into the fourth quarter. Missouri had a chance to score on a 14-play drive but was stopped by a goal-line stand from Alabama's defense, sealing the 34-0 shutout.

What it Means: Alabama

Alabama keeps its College Football Playoff hopes alive under first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer. The Tide put together a complete game and now head into a bye week before facing No. 8 LSU (6-1, 3-0 SEC) in Baton Rouge, La., on Nov. 9.

What it Means: Missouri

Missouri, dealing with injuries, will also enter a bye week hoping to get healthy. The Tigers will return home in their next game against Oklahoma (4-4, 1-4 SEC) in Columbia, Mo., on Nov. 9.
