Notre Dame's football program will officially be hitting the big television screen this fall. Much like HBO's "Hard Knocks" series, Peacock announced it will do a similar type of show to give viewers an inside look at the Fighting Irish football program throughout the season.

"Here Come The Irish" is set to premiere on Aug. 29. The docuseries is part of a newly extended contract between Notre Dame and NBC. The two parties were already under contract, though. NBC airs a lot of the school's content on Peacock.

Key Guests on Show

Some notable guests will be interviewed and shown throughout the show. Former Notre Dame head coach and Hall of Famer Lou Holtz will be part of the show. Along with Holtz, current head coach Marcus Freeman, Benjamin Morrison, Riley Leonard and other players and staff members will be included.

Leonard is a new face for Notre Dame. Curious Irish fans will benefit from an inside look at how he prepares and leads the team. He transferred from the Duke Blue Devils this offseason to finish his career in South Bend, Ind.

Morrison is a highly coveted cornerback prospect projected to be a high first-round NFL Draft pick in 2025. Morrison played well against Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. last season in Notre Dame's heartbreaking loss to the Buckeyes. It will certainly be interesting to see how he goes about his business.

Notre Dame Show Ingredients

"Here Come The Irish" will offer an in-depth look at Notre Dame on and off the football field. Viewers will see workout regimens, intense practices, behind-the-scenes preparation and the overall "electric" atmosphere of South Bend on Notre Dame game days. Notre Dame also said some off-field highlights will be shown. These include academic commitments and personal journeys for players and staff members.

The docuseries will be released in multiple increments. The first and second episodes are both set for Aug. 29. Then, a large break follows the premiere. The third and fourth episodes will be shown on Dec. 5. Episodes 5 and 6 follow on Dec. 19. And, the final episode will air on Jan. 16, 2025. Each episode lasts roughly 30 minutes. The episodes are being produced by John Fornaro. Jon Asher, Katy Lonergan and Shalika Shetty serve as executive producers. Tune in later this month to learn more about South Bend and its love of the Fighting Irish.

Now they need to learn how to win consistently . Today the coaches did not have our team prepared . Did they underestimate NIU ? They certainly didn’t look passionate or well prepared on the field . Freeman has to learn to separate himself from his players and be tough sometimes. He can recruit and motivate but hasn’t demonstrated consistent success . Something is missing !!!!!
