Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning continues to make a serious push for the top 2026 college football recruiting class.

On Monday, four-star tackle Kodi Greene announced his much-anticipated commitment to Oregon. "When you know, you know", Greene told On3. Credit should be given to Ducks offensive line coach A'lique Terry.

Greene is the fourth overall commitment for the Ducks' 2026 class, which was already the No. 1 class in the nation according to On3. Greene attends Mater Dei High School, which is proving to become one of the major feeders for Oregon as of late. Jordon Davison and Nasir Wyatt, both Duck commits from the 2025 class, also play for the Monarchs.

Who is Kodi Greene?

Greene is a specimen of a tackle prospect who plays for Mater Dei in Santa Ana, Calif. Greene is a special combination of a bulldozing tackle who can get out in space as a run blocker and an elite anchor of a pass protector. Greene is listed at a whopping 6-foot-6 inches and roughly 300 pounds.

Greene is currently listed as the No. 5 overall OT prospect in the nation, per On3. 247sports, however, has him listed at No. 4.

Greene is ranked No. 35 overall nationally for the entire class of 2026 and pushes the boundaries of a potential five-star prospect. His 80-inch wingspan is an eye-popping trait for scouts to work with. It may help him become one of the best tackles in the class going forward.

The Oregon Effect

While this may not be as imminent as a commitment from the class of 2025, it still does nothing but help Lanning's case as an elite recruiter. According to On3, Oregon is currently ranked as the No. 1 class in the country for the 2026 class. The Ducks already were at the top class before that so this helps secure their spot. Looking ahead, all signs point toward Oregon putting together back-to-back classes ranked in the top 5. Their 2025 class is currently ranked as No. 5 in the country.
