The Penn State Nittany Lions received another 2025 commitment. According to On3Recruits, the Nittany Lions landed 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver Koby Howard. Howard chose the Nittany Lions over the Florida Gators, the Florida State Seminoles and the Ole Miss Rebels. His commitment was led by a South Florida Recruiter named Ja'Juan Seider. The Nittany Lions used their summer program, the Lasch Bash, to help bring Howard to their campus and help recruit him to the team.

Howard went to high school in Hollywood, Fla. In Howard's junior year at Chaminade-Madonna Prep, he finished the year with 65 total receptions in 10 games played, with 1,065 total receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. He also had 26 carries for 224 total yards and 1 touchdown on special teams.

Howard joins an already packed recruiting class that the Nittany Lions have put together in the 2025 season. According to 247Sports, the Nittany Lions 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 15 in the nation and has 24 total commits.

The recruiting class contains six four-stars—including Howard—and 18 three-stars.

Blue and White Illustrated Film Analyst Thomas Frank Carr gave a breakdown of who Howard is.

"He's a high floor player with good positional skills that will bring a level of consistency to the Penn State offense," Carr said. "Improving his athleticism will help him maximize what he can be in Andy Kotelnicki's offense."

According to On3's Ryan Snyder, Howard had some interesting things to say about coach James Franklin and the Nittany Lions program.

"I got to talk to coach James Franklin after everything and we had a great conversation," Howard said. "He was telling me that I looked great and also gave me some pointers on some things. But coach Franklin said my workout went great and that I did a really good job at camp. He said that they didn't need to see me too much, but they wanted to see a little something, so that went well."
