As excitement builds amongst college football fans to play with their favorite players in EA Sports College Football 25, there is one high-profile player who revealed he has opted out of the game set to release this summer.

Texas quarterback Arch Manning revealed he won't be in the game in order to focus on football in the real world.

Arch Manning just wrapped up his freshman campaign at Texas, where he appeared in two games which included the final snaps of the Big 12 Championship game against Oklahoma State.

The son of Cooper Manning and nephew of fellow quarterbacks Eli and Peyton was the third-string quarterback at Texas for a majority of the season behind Quinn Ewers and Maalik Murphy who announced his transfer to Duke.

Ewers, who will be returning to Texas in 2024, is one of the over 10,000 athletes who are already confirmed to be in the upcoming game.

All 134 FBS teams are already confirmed to be in the game.

Last month, all athletes were offered $600 and a copy of the game for their name, image, and likeness to be represented.

As of now, Manning is the first well-known athlete to opt out of the upcoming game.
