There have been several great quarterbacks throughout the history of the NFL. Most QBs have had their share of highlight moments, dream seasons and dominant performances.

This is the third installment of every NFL team's best quarterback by division, now with the AFC South.

Houston Texans Best Quarterback: Matt Schaub

Matt Schaub joined the Houston Texans in 2007 in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons that saw Houston deal away 2 second-round picks, a risky transaction that paid off.

Schaub was selected to play in 2 Pro Bowls while a member of the Texans, led the league in passing yards in 2009, made the playoffs twice as the Texans' starter, and has the most wins, 44, by any Texans quarterback ever.

Indianapolis Colts: Peyton Manning

As good as Johnny Unitas was for the then-Baltimore Colts, the selection had to be Peyton Manning. Picked by the Indianapolis Colts with the No. 1 overall pick in 1998 out of Tennessee, Manning won a Super Bowl, a Super Bowl MVP, 4 NFL MVPs, made 10 Pro Bowls, and 5 first-team All-Pros in his Colts career.

Manning is easily a top 5 quarterback of all time and is near the top of the list in every major quarterback statistical category. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021 on the first ballot.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Mark Brunell

All three of Mark Brunell’s Pro Bowl seasons came with the Jacksonville Jaguars. His dual-threat capabilities brought the expansion franchise to the postseason in its second year and the 3 following seasons.

The Jaguars acquired Brunell from the Green Bay Packers. Brunell led the club to the AFC Championship Game in 1996, then did it again just 3 years later in 1999.

He is the franchise's all-time leader in yards, touchdowns and completions. He has won more games than any other Jaguars quarterback.

Tennessee Titans: Steve McNair

This was a close race between Steve McNair and Warren Moon, but I ultimately gave the edge to McNair because of his better playoff success. Drafted third overall by the Tennessee Titans (then known as the Houston Oilers) out of Alcorn State in 1995, McNair would not become the full-time starter until 1997.

In 1999, Tennessee's first year as the Titans, McNair led them to the Super Bowl and was 1 yard away from winning the game. He made 3 Pro Bowls and was named co-MVP in 2003 with Peyton Manning.
