The Hokies hit the road again in desperate need of a win against Marshall

Writer: Mark FainMark Fain

The second, road trip of the year for the Hokies takes them to Huntington West Virginia to play an undefeated Marshall team. This game is a must-win for the Hokies! If they want to stay in bowl contention. The game isn't a given 'win' like in years past. This Marshall team is well-coached and physical, the Hokies have to be ready for a 60-minute fight.

Key Players - Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech Kyron Drone or Grant Wells whoever starts a QB they have to take care of the ball

Virginia Tech WR core someone needs to step up in a big way since Ali Jennings and Jaylen Lane are out

Either Tuten or Thompson or another running back has to step up you have to be able to run the ball to win games.

Key Players - Marshall

Marshall's defense has been solid so far this year

RB Ali Rasheen could have a breakout game if the Hokies run defense hasn't improved

QB Cam Fancher has been solid this year.

Prediction:

I'm not, convinced that the Hokies have fixed their missed tackles and poor run defense we've seen in the first 3 games. Marshall comes in ready for a fight and they will have a big home-field advantage. Unless the Hokies can create some turnovers, I see The Thundering Herd of Marshall improving to 3-0
