Virginia Tech hits the road for the first time this season

Brent Pry and the Hokies hit the road to meet an old Big East rival, The Rutgers Scarlet Knights this weekend in New Jersey. The last time the Hokies and Rutgers played was in the 2012 Russell Athletic Bowl which the Hokies picked up the win 13-10. Can the Hokies pick up a huge road win to start the season? We will see.

Key Players - Virginia Tech

Kyron Drones Virginia Tech QB starting his first game as a Hokie

Offensive line for Virginia Tech they have to make better holes for the run game and protect Drone in his first start.

Either Thomas or Tuten must step up in the running game.

Key Players - Rutgers

QB Gavin Wimsatt

The defense keeps playing well

Prediction:

This is a tough game to call. I could see either team picking up the win. Virginia Tech comes in with a bad case of the injury bug in several key areas. such as two starters at WR and QB in addition to a starting safety based on that theory, I'm going to take Rutgers to pick up the win at home 27-17.
